1. Register your ParentSquare account. Visit parentsquare.com/signin and register using the email address or phone number listed in your Skyward Family Access account.
2. Confirm your student(s) and contact information. After you set your password, ParentSquare will ask you to verify the students connected to your account and to confirm your phone number and/or email address. A verification code will be sent for confirmation. Enter the code to verify your contact information.
3. Complete registration. Click the 'Register' button to finish your activation.

You're done and ready to start using ParentSquare on their website, or on any device!

You can adjust how you receive notifications on new posts from your school or teacher, text, direct email, daily digest, phone call, language preferences, and more within the account settings in ParentSquare.

Once logged into ParentSquare via the phone app or desktop, click on your name and navigate to the My Account area. Click the Preferences tab and customize your notification settings and more.

• Notification Preferences: Choose how you wish to receive general posts, direct messages, and alerts. You can select between email, text, or app push notifications. Note: Urgent Alerts are sent during emergencies and will be sent to all contact methods available to ensure you receive critical information promptly. You cannot opt out of Urgent Alerts.
• Language Preferences: Select your preferred language for communications, and ParentSquare will automatically translate messages into your chosen language.
• Digest Preferences: Instead of receiving notifications instantly, you can opt for a daily digest that consolidates all communications into one summary email sent daily at 6:00 pm. Digest is the default notification method in ParentSquare.

1. Once logged into ParentSquare via the website or app, click “Messages” (located on the left-hand side menu on the website and along the bottom area in the app).
2. Click New Message (or the plus sign button in the app) and search for the teacher by name. Select the teacher from the suggestions that appear.
3. Compose your message in the designated area and click send to send your message.

Staff may have office hours set and will see your message during those times.

Skyward Family Access and ParentSquare are both valuable tools for families, but they serve different functions at NTPS.

Skyward Family Access is primarily a student information system (SIS). It houses student-specific information such as grades, attendance records, schedules, and other academic details.

ParentSquare is a communications and engagement platform that lets families receive information from their school and chat with their students' classroom teachers. It is also used by club advisors and athletics coaches to communicate with participating families and students.

Your contact information in ParentSquare is pulled directly from your Skyward Family Access account. When registering your ParentSquare account, you will have the option to change the email address or phone number you use for ParentSquare.

Yes, families can select different notification settings for the district and for each school their students attend. Change your notification settings in the Manage Account area of ParentSquare.
